I am a retired engineer and DPhil from Sussex University. I made my career in the aluminium and NF-alloys foundry industry in the UK.

I can claim to have been a partner in the creation of the Cosworth Casting Process.

I am an early adopter of computing and one the first PC I used in business was a Sirius One.

Now I use mostly openBSD + MXlinux on my Tuxedo laptop and macOS on my iMac 2017. I run a Yunohost server on a self-build PC on which I run Mattermost and my blog: [[https://liquorstane.eu|https://liquorstane.eu]]
